Prepare to Camp Blast!

Camp Blast is tomorrow and everything is prepared and ready. Camp Joy El will be hosting approximately 150 students, parents and volunteers from area Released Time Programs for a taste of camp. Students will have a chance to drive a go-kart, go on a scavenger hunt, play mini golf and eat pizza. This recreation time will be finished off with a time of worship, teaching and celebration of the students attending that have earned 300 points to receive a week of free camp by memorizing scripture.

New Relationship With Christ

Recently one Released Time reported that after teaching the lesson about the helmet of salvation - God moved in a mighty way. The teachers each included a prayer for beginning a relationship with Jesus and then asked the students that prayed to tell their teachers.  There were 19 from one elementary school and 6 from a second elementary that told their teachers that they had prayed. Even before the lesson one girl had accepted Christ during a listening time. The pastor of one of the host churches came and told the volunteers before the the lesson that his staff had prayed for the Released Time students and volunteers.  Several other students were talking to their listeners about what it means to have a relationship with Jesus. 

Ephesians 6:13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Please continue to pray for the Lord to call children to a relationship with Him!

Beginning to Take Root

This Thursday Camp Joy El will be hosting Camp Blast. Students from Released Times will be coming after-school to get a small taste of what camp is like. We will have Gaga ball, a scavenger hunt, Go-kart rides, mini golf and Pizza for dinner. Pray that the weather is good - the buses run well and that the worship and message impact hearts. This summers camp verse is Col 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Bus Driver Vic

Everyday is a new adventure in trusting God. Yesterday I took my CDL test.
I need to have a CDL in order to drive buses for the children of Released Time. Bathed in prayer from Prayer Warriors I am now praising God for a passing grade. As of yesterday I am officially a licences bus driver. Is God calling you to drive a bus?
